« Is That A Giant Coneflower In Your Pocket Or Are You Just Glad To See Me? | Main | Back In The Business »

June 22, 2010

Your post was just what I needed. I have had a rash of mishaps with wooden tools lately.

My dogs chewed 3 wooden crochet hooks. I broke one wooden crochet hook on a fiber that was a bit "resistant" lol I also snapped a lovely pair of ebony size 1 needles whilst knitting socks.

I've also decided that wooden fiber tools should be used with caution. I wanted to order the Signature Needles to replace my broken size 1 but I hadn't heard reports on whether they are fantastic in small sizes too. So I got some cheap metal ones until I can justify the luxury purchase.

What a lovely blog you have. I found you via a new member of our Portuguese Knitting group. She had such good things to say I had to come check you out. She was right.

Hello Robin!

Have sure enjoyed browsing your blog. How creative and talented you are.

Had never heard of those varieties of cone flowers... nor knitting teeny tiny bookmark socks! On 0 needles! I just don't think I'd have the patience... I can barely get through a pair of socks using sock yarn :-) It's worsted for me, I'm afraid!

Laurie (Moo!)

I LOVE pictures of your garden (and your fur kids)! Mine is just a bunch of weeds, right now.

Those bookmarks are adorable but I would NOT be happy with a snapping needle. Nope. Not at all. I'll be checking out the Signature circulars at Stitches East. $40 is a lot to drop on 1 circ but I do love their stiletto points!

Could have told you metal needles only for mini socks! I have a set of 000 addi circular needles that are exclusive to the mini socks...they now have a bit of a "curve" in them!!

Cute...I use my collection as Christmas ornaments on a Norfolk Pine!

LOL GMTA I ordered signature dpn's last night also in size 2.5mm.

I love the flower pictures. Probably because I'm a horrible gardener and everything I plant dies.

The sock is too cute! I always end up bending my size 0 metal needles into what could be called a pretzel. Its a good thing they bend back! Because wooden needles that small are useless!

You will LOVE the Sigatures. Linda and I bought some of their circs at MSW and we love them!

I would've been cussing something fierce if my needles snapped like that. Holy cow!

It's way too hot in much of the country for June...

LOVE the wee sock. Can't wait to see the sweater.
