As one who sits by that fireplace frequently and knits, it is indeed a cozy, inviting place. Tina and Carl are doing a great job of making this a cozy home for us fibery folks--all ages and genders. I'm meeting lots of interesting folks there.

You know, you make an excellent knitting tour-guide. :) Some time if I get a chance to have some free time in North Carolina, I'm going to research your back pages to figure out all the excellent places to go! Your multi-directional scarf looks beautiful, by the way.

Wonderful pictures of your yarn shop travels! I especially love that the stores are big with lots of room to actually see the different yarns/fibre. The local yarn stores in my area are quite small and packed to the rafters which makes it overwhelming when picking something for a project. Oh well, it's a nice thing to complain about :)

Wishing you safe travels Robin, and a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your whole family!

Jeanne

Sounds like you had a great day - and the yarn stores look so nice!

Gina

Sounds like a busy day! Glad you got to use your gift certificate!

I miss G'boro. My sister lived there for several years, and I keep saying we need to go back...

I like the yarn in the tub :) I am debating on asking my friend to send me one of those cabled mugs. I saw them in London but haven't seen them here in Canterbury - so cute!

That's a lot of driving and yarn shop hopping. I used to live in the Charlotte area and I have a friend who lives in Matthews. It has become a nice little town.

Someone has been a very busy girl! and from the looks of things having lots of fun! Love those shops! Did I see some of your Dad's Baskets in one of the top pictures- Big and round holding fiber?

Ahhh Stoneville,NC I have a good friend that lives there. Sounds like a good area to explore. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

I am jealous of all that knit shop hopping! Sounds like you had fun with Sally Melville too!
