This has been a fun week on Facebook. I was nominated to participate in the Art Pics Challenge. The rules were to post three pictures of artwork (any medium) daily for five days and nominate one other person each day. This was a great follow-up to
my January 16 blog post on making stuff.
The first day, I posted three pictures of soap I made.
The second day, pictures of hooked rugs.
The third day, some of my photographs.
The fourth day, I posted some of my watercolor paintings.
I've nominated a polymer clay creator, a rug hooker, a friend who quilts, knits, and hooks rugs, and another virtual friend who does a number of different DIY things. People I've nominated live in Virginia, North Carolina, Washington, and Ohio.
For my fifth day, I'm going to post pictures of my handknits and maybe some handspun.
Today, I saw a quote on Facebook - "Nobody is born uncreative." -Osho-
Again, I firmly believe all children need to be taught to make things.
Imagination and creativity need to be fed.
Paint, spin, knit, hook rugs, take photographs, garden, write --- whatever it takes to get your creative juices flowing. There's so much to do - so much to choose from.
Now, go make something!
