The most recent thing I completed was a pair of toe-up socks.
This was the first pair of adult toe-up socks I've ever finished. I started this pair eons ago and finished the first sock. Then, I started the second sock and worked it up to the point to start the heel and stopped. I put it away for future knitting. When I brought it back out a couple of months ago, I couldn't remember what pattern, book, or whatever I had used to knit the first one. So, I did what every knitter does best - I winged it!
The results are just fine! I can't tell which was the first sock and which was the second one.
I love this yarn! Love the colors! The yarn is Online but I have no idea the colorway.
The vegetable / herb gardens are done, too! I planted Beets, Zuchini, Yellow Crook Neck Squash, Cucumbers, 4 types of Tomatoes, Onions, Italian Parsley, Dill, Chives, and 2 types of Basil. I still need to purchase Oregano and Thyme. The raised beds look great! It was time to give them an overhaul - so glad we did.
I also planted the two pots on each side of our front door. I left the Robin's nest
from last years with the deflated balloon and ribbon still woven in.
I love all colors but especially pink, purple, yellow, and white together. So, the plants I chose for these pots fit that palette.
I'm glad to see this week pass. Monday, I was rear-ended while sitting at a stoplight. It was a crummy day. But, my reward for making it through the crummy day was this absolutely GORGEOUS sunset! Mother Nature knew I deserved a beautiful ending to that day!
Tomorrow, Mom and I and a couple of knitters are going to Troy, OH for the Upper Valley Fiber Fest. It's a very small show and won't take long at all to go through. We'll come back south a bit to Tipp City and eat lunch at Coldwater Cafe and do a little shopping in the cute shops along the main street. It should be a fun time!
I still have planting to do - we're completing the landscaping in front and along the side of the house - but it's just too wet. We've had tons of rain! It's supposed to be a nice weekend so hopefully, it will dry up a bit.
Hope each of you reading this has a wonderful weekend!!
