I was so excited to be a part of the Fall Festival at Secret Garden in Waynesville! It was scheduled for October 19th. It rained! And, since I don't have a tent, I couldn't participate. Well, I could have but there would have been a sea of bubbles from all the wet soap!
Instead, I went to Dorothy Lane Market in Springboro and got in a few hours of knitting with the Knitting At Noon crew. It has been too long before we had everyone together for our Saturday knitting. I have missed it badly. Merry had two great projects to show. One was the Burberry Inspired Neck Scarf - a free pattern on Ravelry. Her second finished project was an Owl Hat, also available on Ravelry.
Holly married Dan yesterday and from all accounts, the day could not have been more perfect. The setting was a plantation bed & breakfast in Mississippi. A friend of hers, who does flowers for events as a hobby, did all the flowers and Mom said they were absolutely beautiful. Holly said she told her friend she should be doing it professionally. From the pictures I've seen, I agree. Really stunning.
Holly was a gorgeous bride!!! Her brother walked her down the aisle. I wish I could have been there!
Much happiness and many blessings to the newlyweds!
Mom will have a great time spending some time with
her sister, Nancy, this week. I hope she rests up because when she returns home at the end of the week, the first packing event will take place for their move to Ohio. Let the show begin!!!!!
