It's chilly here in Southwest Ohio. We're having temperatures in the single digits and teens. Snowflakes
have been flying about since Thursday. The flakes are teeny tiny and haven't accumulated much - just a couple of inches. More snow is expected through Tuesday. Come on snow!! I just love it!
The weather has been perfect for hot cups of coffee topped with a skim milk froth. YUM!
Earl Gray and Gracie are staying hunkered down in the garage. I have two heaters in the beds - one kind of like a heating pad and the other is a disk like a solid Frisbee. I heat the disk in the microwave and then slip it under the blanket in their bed. The disc stays warm for many hours.
These days when I pull the car up to the garage, the cats are on the hood before I can even open the door. Little furry hood ornaments.
Gracie has gotten more sociable. Being a Tortoiseshell, she is skittish and shy by nature. Now, however,
she eats her breakfast and/or dinner and then heads straight to her blanket on the sofa. She curls up and sleeps for hours.
The birds have been super busy in this snowy
weather. I love watching the woodpeckers hanging upside down at the suet feeder. They're like little gymnasts.
Saturday, we only had a few at knitting. The weather and obligations kept others away.
I am almost finished with the Ripple Cowl. It's a fast knit - I just started it on Friday. I'm knitting it out of Berroco Vintage yarn in the Douglas Fir colorway on a size 7 needle. Here is a picture of it just after I cast on. This picture shows off one of my new yarn bowls. Andy gave me a gift certificate to Wooly Bully and I
got two super cute yarn bowls - this sheep and a black and white cat. I
love using them. They make me smile!
After knitting, Andy and I went to La Comedia Dinner Theatre. It was great fun! The theater is awesome - all tiered seating so no one has a bad seat. All tables have unobstructed views of the stage. The dinner is served buffet style on the stage and then removed prior to the start of the play. The food was very good and the show, The Dixie Swim Club, was great! I loved
hearing all the references to places in North Carolina and Virginia that I know so well - Chapel Hill, Winston-Salem, the Outer Banks, Spivey's Corner, Charlottesville, etc. Those girls had it right - there is nothing like the sunrise / sunset on the Atlantic Ocean.
Andy heads back to Virginia today. He's going Sunday so he can return on Thursday.
I've been asked to be a vendor at a local event next Saturday so will be in the studio tomorrow getting things together. I wanted to have some new soaps made but just haven't had the time. I'm going to see what I can get done tomorrow.
So, as usual --- stay tuned!!

Love your Snowman Mug and the coffee with the froth sounds wonderful. You will have to share the recipe. Oh and love the knitting bowl. Where in the world did you find such a cute bowl. I've yet to buy myself one.

Everyone is looking good Robin. I love your bowls. Sheddy gave me a cute cat bowl for Christmas. I need to take a picture of it for my blog. A lady in The Villages makes them. I wish I could do pottery. But already do to much.
What's happening with Andy's job? And how are your parents doing?
Hope you have a snowy week.

Sofee loves her bed heaters. She has both kinds, but the disk is by far her favorite. The mention of the word, and she runs to the microwave..... And, she's inside the house! Typical spoiled Chihuahua!
Love the yarn bowl. I've been thinking of going on a search for one. Yours is the cutest I have ever seen.
I don't know much about cats, but I am surprised to hear that being a Tortoiseshell would make for a skittish cat by nature. That describes my mom's cat perfectly - but we had no idea. She is company for mom, but has nothing to do with anyone else. Interesting!
