Daddy is doing well. He was moved to a regular room late today. His chest is very sore where they did CPR. What a small price to pay.
He still hasn't been out of bed. The nurse said that they will not get him up for the first time - a therapist will do that. This will be the goal for tomorrow - get Daddy out of that bed! The flu is rampant and I'm anxious to get him home as soon as possible to avoid catching the bug.
My father has always loved a good joke and is quick to make a funny. Yesterday, Mom told him that the doctor said he had probably had a few silent heart attacks without realizing it. Daddy replied, "I didn't hear this one, either."
Mom and I are just overwhelmed from all your well wishes and prayers. Some of you have shared personal experiences, too. Thanks to all of you for your concern and keep those good thoughts coming!

I know God is in control and this was definitely a prime example. Looking forward to hearing that you get him home. Praying. Tell both Mom and Dad we said hello.

Still Praying for a good recovery for your Dad. He is FUNNY!
THey say humor is so good for patients. Has he ever seen Ground hog day? My favorite, and not offensive to an older individual!

Robin, I'm so sorry to hear that your dad went through that. We will be praying for complete healing in Jesus' name (and we have a large international prayer group that will pray also!) and for you and your mom.
If I can help in anything, please let me know.

Not sure where you can find in Danville but see if you can find thieves oil to ward off and protect from flu.We discussed this at knitting last Monday and I believe Diane said they use at Roman Eagle. Tina and a friend use it at Cone and have not had flu while co-workers have. Cone actually did study on this. It's a blend of essential oils. Tina sprays on but you can put on cotton balls etc. Google has info and recipe etc.
