Doesn't it look great?!?!
The past two evenings, I've gone out to eat with friends. Friends that I haven't seen in YEARS!
What's up with the YEARS? Where did they go? Life happened and I haven't kept up with a lot of people from high school or college.
Tuesday night, I met Jan and Dianne for dinner. We all grew up in the same neighborhood. Jan and I went to kindergarten together and Dianne moved to Danville when we were in third grade. Both Jan and Dianne still live in Danville and they have done an amazing job keeping up with our classmates and all the neighborhood kids. I should have taken my yearbook with me to dinner! We talked about EVERYONE! It was fun learning what's up with all our old friends. This picture is of Dianne and me. Jan is the photographer.
Wednesday evening, I met Joan. We were such tight friends and it was GREAT seeing her! We had such
fun catching up on all the goings-on in town and with all the people we hung out with those thirty plus years ago.
On this trip, I called another friend that I met while in nursing school. Vera. I have called her sporadically over the years but whenever we talk, it's like we just did so the night before. We're able to pick up right where we left off.
So, here's to LONG LIFE and GOOD FRIENDS!

It is so good to see your mom and dad together. What a relief it must be for you. We'll keep you in our prayers.

Aww look at him, happy as a Lark and with 3 of his favorite women, your Mama, Lilly and you taking the picture. He looks great so glad he is home and doing better.
Glad you are able to meet up with some old friends while there. There are five of us that have been close since grade school and we try to get together at least 2 times a year. It is good to keep in touch with lifelong friends. And those that we have became friends with within the last couple years. Hint Hint, can't wait to get together again at B&N.
See you soon.

I am so excited that I made the blog! I feel famous! It was so good to sit and talk to good friends who share so much past. We know so much about each other's childhood...because we were there. Friendships like these take YEARS to mature. I can't wait to visit Ohio...the place of my birth and learn how to knit! Look out Robin...Jan has agreed to come with me. Can you say Girls Road Trip?! Ummmmm, thinking now suddenly of Thelma and Louise....
So happy to have seen Robin and catch up and so very glad that the Mr. and Mrs. Duncan look so great and still have each other. Now they just have to get back to a sense of normal. God is GREAT!
