Andy and I headed over to the Warren County Fair last night.
In the south, the fairs are in the fall so it felt a little funny to be walking around in the heat and humidity. They had fans on the animals and frozen water bottles as ice blocks in the cages.
We saw sheep in very stylish attire.
There were naked sheep. They looked very cool. Cool as in temperature cool.
There was a bunny getting a pedicure.
These alpacas were very curious and watched my every move.
And, OH, the chickens and roosters! I could do a whole post on them.
I loved their colors and hairstyles. There were some very sharp looking ones - very tailored and dapper. Then, there were WILD ones! Some were still wearing their bedroom slippers (lots of feathers on the feet). Others could be mistaken for Angora rabbits - they were so
fluffy looking.
This chicken had to get its beauty sleep - the heck with all the commotion.
These birds - doves, I think - were so pretty with their tail feathers fanned out.
The rabbits were so pretty but there were very few Angora rabbits.
Loved the goats! They are also so curious. They nibbled my jacket whenever I got within range.
If Andy hadn't been with me, these two babies would have a new home once the fair is over. They were absolutely adorable!
We also ate dinner. Philly Cheesesteak and Fried Veggies. Yum!
Yes, I'd have a farm full of animals if I could. I'd have to get a new husband, though.
Sigh......
I really think these baby goats would have fit in my pockets!
This Nubian goat was very hungry.
Bunnies bunnies everywhere!
And, these Pygora goats were so cute! I love how they look at you - just so curious.
The highlight in the Arts & Crafts section was this entry in "Ceramics". A Yarn Bowl!!! How about that!?! And, it was a winner!!
Soap pictures tomorrow!!!!!

Wow, looks like you two had a great time. I seen one of those fluffy chickens before. They are called Silky Chickens and are originally from China. They are as soft as can be. I wish I could have a few chickens, I would love the fresh eggs, but I don't think anyone in my neighborhood would like the idea.
