This has been a wild and crazy week. Weather-wise that is. We've seen 60 degree temps to 30 degree temps, thunder and lightning storms, and the horrible terrible tornadoes. Areas in Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio were involved. I think the closest one was about an hour from us. They were absolutely devastating with many fatalities. They said one packed 175 mph winds and stayed on the ground for 50 minutes. No touch-downs for this one - just mowed the town right off the map. How terrible for those affected.
Today is cloudy and windy with snowflakes intermittently dancing down from the sky. Temperatures this week are once again
supposed to run the gamut from the 30's to the 60's. The weather has been nuts this winter.
We met for knitting yesterday and had a table of finished knits.
Jan modeled her Broomstick Lace Scarf.
Ande's hat is fresh off her needles. Very cute!
Merry completed her alpaca Fetching Fingerless Mitts.
Carol wore her Potato Chip Scarf.
Karen was just about finished with the mate to this perky orange and pink sock. They are destined to be gifted on Thursday to a very lucky friend.
I wore my Bermuda Scarf (Shawl). This might be my favorite shawl to date. Maybe. I'm in love with these colors and the assymmetrical pattern.
Next Saturday, thirteen of us will not be at Dorothy Lane Market for Knitting At Noon. You'll find us headed west on the Party Bus! We're going on a yarn crawl to Indianapolis!!!! We'll be leaving Springboro early in the morning headed to Mass Ave Knit Shop, then on to Village Yarn Shop in Zionsville where we'll have lunch, and then finally to Knit Stop. We are soooo excited!! Knitting ALL the way there and back. Heaven!!! I will be sure to take LOTS of pictures for you all to see.
I have several classes coming up at Main Street Yarns this month.
I'm working on the felted Bucket Bag now for a class on the 27th. I hope to finish knitting this tonight. I'll have to find somewhere to felt it since I don't have my old washing machine. The pattern shows this bag in solid colors but, of course, I just couldn't do that. My main color is olive green with gold and lighter gold stripes. I plan to make a polymer clay button to match. Stay tuned for pictures.
On the 20th, I'll be leading a Bunny Nugget Knit-Along. This should be fun! Just a little something to remind everyone that spring is on its way. A very funky little rabbit!
There are other reminders that spring is near are showing up around
here. The Red-Winged Blackbirds and Robins are back. I love the Red-Winged Blackbirds! They sing all the time. Love listening to them.
Also, some of my orchids are blooming.
I brought my Gerbera Daisies inside and they've kept a sunshiney feeling all winter long in my sunroom.
Until next time - thanks so much for reading and KNIT ON!

Yarn crawl would be awesome. Have a great time. Love your Bermuda scarf.

I so look forward to your posts Robin. The yarn crawl sounds awesome. Wish I was living around your area so you could teach me to knit!! I saw your mom at a funeral (Becky Murray) and told her I loved your blog. I told her you were like a "Little House on the Prarie" woman!!!!! You inspire me!!

This winter has been very strange here as well. It will be interesting to see how low the lake is at our house in the upper penninsula this summer
