Today started with a batch of soap.
I made one batch and divided into four fragrances - Almond Biscotti, Ginger Lime, Cup o' Green Tea, and Southern Magnolia.
I need to make shea butter cream and cream lotions, and lip butter this week. Hopefully, I'll have enough time to make another batch of soap - Lavender Mint, Fresh Laundry, Lavender, and one more to be determined.
The rug hookers are coming next week for HOOKIN' at the LAKE 2008 and I need to stock up for them. Bev is teaching for me again this year. She is from Vermont and will fly in a week from Tuesday. Most of the students will arrive on Wednesday, the 23rd, and a few will join us on Thursday. There are twelve students signed up. Should be a great class. It will be good to see everyone - most of these ladies have been coming for years.
While the soap was cooking, I took some pictures of the garden and filled the bird and suet feeders. The daylilies are blooming. Also, the Black-Eyed Susans, Black and Blue Salvia, and the white and pink Phlox.
The kitties were chillin' on the porch of the studio - George was just a swingin'! What a laid back cat.
Finally, Andy and I went out for a boat ride. This is only the second time we've been out this year. We still haven't been to our favorite site. It's been so late when we've gone out both times that we've just gone to the campground / picnic area / boat launch area behind us.
We cruised around for a couple of hours in the main part of the lake near Clarksville. We saw only a few boats - guess everyone had gone home for supper. It was very hazy out - too cloudy for a sunset.
We saw several herons and a duck. We also saw a few birds that would take off, fly around a bit, and then dive down to the water. The fishing must have been good.
While cruising around, I worked on my sock and my shawl. Knitting with the wind in your face -- feels so good!!!
And, did someone say ---------------------------------- WindSOCK!?!?!
Wishing everyone a good (and quick) work week!! Thanks for reading!

Are you going to the RCK meeting this Saturday? The Ginger Lime, Green Tea, and Magnolia soaps all sound good. I'll buy some if you're coming.

That photo makes me nervous that the sock will blow off the boat! Love how George is stretched out. My Ali-cat does that, too, when she's in a nice warm pool of sunshine....

You continue to amaze me by all that you are able to accomplish. I love the photography of the garden. The thought of knitting while cruising around the water... oh that just sounds like heaven. Glad you got the opportunity for some down time.

Oh, thank you Robin. The deer have eaten all of my lilies before they even had a chance to think about blooming, so at least I can enjoy yours!

Love that sock! The colors look so cheery, especially alongside the windsock.
